can't write image file to disc

I am trying write an image file to disc, but all I am getting is the following: Device not ready (logical unit in process of becoming ready)

 

What is going on here?? My CD-RW drive is a NEC CD-RW NR-9300A

It sounds like the drive doesn't support the media you're trying to burn to.

 

Being a basic CD burner, it obviously won't burn DVDs.
