digital_archivist Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 For the last month or so, I've been unable to verify burns on a reletively new PC (ASUS P8Z68-V PRO; Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit; Intel Smart Response Technology for SSD caching on the fixed disks [but not on the optical drives); a Sony Blu-Ray and a Sony Optiarc DVD burner attached to the motherboard's Marvell SATA 3 connectors). It used to work and suddenly stopped; nothing unusual shows up in the Windows Event Viewer. I've updated the Intel SRT driver and the m/b BIOS without affecting the problem. Typical snippet from the log; after the program hangs at verifying, I cancelled the operation: I 17:01:49 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Put the drive on the Intel controller. The Marvell one isn't designed for optical drives.
digital_archivist Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Put the drive on the Intel controller. The Marvell one isn't designed for optical drives. I'll try that. Thanks!
