Double Layer Issue

SID-NJ

Recommended Posts

Newbie at work

Problem began with the "End of World" message in build mode (i.e., can't find cell for layer break.) Followed FORUM recommendation for use of VobBlanker. ImgBurn then identified a break point with an "AVERAGE" rating star and did create an ISO file. Tried to burn a disk using that ISO file and received the following message.

"This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a double layer (OTP Track Path) disc. None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specification'

criteria for a potential break position."

I surely missed something.

Any suggestions for further fixes?

Please post the logs of you building the image and then attempting to burn it.

Here are the logs, identified by the operation that created them and in the order (1 thru 4) that they were created. The source file is about 7.95GB and the authoring software is Adobe Premiere Elements 3. The total operation is a transfer to DVD from VHS tape.

You've got your double layer media profile set to DVD-R DL which is not what you're then attempting to burn to (DVD+R DL).

So either you switch the media profile back to DVD+R DL (the default value), make a new ISO and then burn that or you just build + burn directly to a DVD+R DL without any intermediate ISO image.
