LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 0.7x is USB 1.0 speeds. Connect the drive so it functions at USB 2.0 speeds - this is a Windows thing and nothing to do with ImgBurn.
TaLK Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 how would i go about doing that? i have tried multiple different new 2.0 cables and ect.. this driver eve ndoes it on other computers also.
mmalves Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Are you sure that's a USB 2.0 enclosure? Has it ever worked in high speed? I 12:09:30 Destination Device: [0:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10N JL10 (F:) (USB) On another note, you should update the burner's firmware (remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before updating the firmware and after doing it you should reboot your computer).
TaLK Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 well i have searched all over the internet for support. seems like no one knows what causes this issue to happen. it still says this can run at faster speeds no matter what computer you plug it into. i went and bought 3 different usb 2.0 cords none worked and i even tried to update the firmware but it will not update because i dont know how to turn a external hard drive from slave/to/master ect.. my computer has enhanced 2.0 usb ports, this burner use to work perfectly fine with no problems. heres some more info about it i just recently came across last night. This versatile USB 2.0 optical drive by INOi boasts SMART-BURN, SMART-X and Buffer-Underrun Prevention technologies to achieve outstanding performance and reliability. The INOi DW560 features write speeds of 4X for DVD+R DL, 16X for DVD+R and DVD-R, 8X for DVD+RW, 6X for DVD-RW, 48X for CD-R and 24X for CD-RW. Its read speeds are 48X for CD-ROM and 16X for DVD-ROM.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 If you've tried multiple machines/cards/cables, surely the next thing is to try a different drive/enclosure?
ianymaty Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 You cut out the first part of the log (don't do that) so this may be a shoot in the dark. If you are running Windows XP make sure you have SP3 installed and up to date patches. Update motherboard chipset/storage drivers for your motherboard. This site may help. http://www.ma-config.com/en Alternatively you can mount (in place of the old combo drive) the drive from the enclosure into the computer but that leaves you without the mobility of the drive.
