fiddlinlin Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Hi. I just downloaded the program and it just doesn't want to work for me. I keep getting 'an error occurred in the application' and it advises me to get an updated version. If I clik on 'continue application' my computer freezes up. One time when I tried I did get a little further before I got "failed to reserve track..invalid field in CDB". Can you help me to get this program working properly?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Were you trying to burn files to a disc in Build mode and those files were too big for the disc? It's a known problem and was fixed ages ago ready for the next public release. Burn the correct amount of data for the disc you're using and you won't have a problem.
fiddlinlin Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Hi thanks for replying. It was an edited and shortened version of a video from a disc. It's only 43 minutes long so it should fit on the disc. Yes I was trying to do it from Build and was trying to put it on a dvd disc.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 You're going to have to post a log then so we can see what's what. Did you actually send the bug report when it prompted you to? I can't fix them if I never receive them... obviously
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Ok so I seem to have received a bug report email from you since my previous reply. It was missing the actual attachment but the text in the email was enough to go on. Last Exception Message: Canvas does not allow drawing. That's the exact message I'd expect to see if you were doing what I mentioned in my first reply... burning too much to a disc. Instead of clicking the 'Write' button, hit the 'Calculate' one and see what the size comes out to.
fiddlinlin Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Hi: Thanks for all your help. I used a bigger dvd and it worked. Only problem now is when playing it back it doesn't stop at the end of the movie. It just goes back to the start and plays over and over. What do I need to do to get it to stop at the end of the movie? Thanks again for you patience.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 That's down to the way the content was authored - which is done outside of ImgBurn.
fiddlinlin Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Thanks so much for all your help. I'll go to the program where I edited the original and fix it there.
