TarheelNorm2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 The ImgBurn website indicates it will handle .gi images as well as .iso images. When I follow the directons for burning an audio CD, ImgBurm says my .gi image (Originally created from Roxio Easy Media Creator) is invalid or unsupported image file format. Is there something I can do to make this work? This is the first time using ImgBurn. You mention some sort of "program file, I'm copying the one from ImgBurn I see when trying to burn the CD. I'm running Win XP Home SP3. Thanks for the help. TarheelNorm2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 OK, so I figured out the real log file you wanted me to include. It's attached. Thanks again. TarheekNorm ImgBurn.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 GI images are only supported in their most basic form (single session/track data image). The 'GI' forum is closed source and I don't have the specs for it. Can you mount the GI file in Roxio's virtual drive? If so, do that, read the disc to a new image using ImgBurn (which will save in BIN/CUE format) and then write that image instead. You're running an old version of ImgBurn btw.
TarheelNorm2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Thanks for the reply. I cannot mount the image to Roxio's virtual drive. I have updated ImgBurn to latest version, no difference in the results. So, if the .gi image is comprised of 10-12 tracks from a CD, this is more than the "single session/track" you are referring to, and it will not work for these images I have? Is the .gi format proprietary to Roxio? Thanks.
