koberulz Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I've authored a DVD in Encore, then used PGCEdit to change the layer break, and set it to burn with ImgBurn after creating the ISO. ImgBurn, however, pops up an error, saying that the 'User specified layer break position exceeds L0 capacity'. If I close ImgBurn, then reopen and attempt to burn the ISO that way, it says: --------------------------- ImgBurn --------------------------- Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found! (VTS_01) This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a double layer (OTP Track Path) disc. None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specification' criteria for a potential layer break position. Do you want to continue anyway? --------------------------- Yes No --------------------------- I get the same result if I author an ISO straight from Encore, then try to burn that with ImgBurn. What on earth is going on?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Burn your video_ts folder with ImgBurn in Build mode. Post the log so we can actually see what's going on.
koberulz Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Seems to have worked. Well, it at least started burning. It also gave me all the layer break options PGCEdit did, rather than the one or two I get when burning an ISO with ImgBurn. Is that due to going through PGCEdit, or does it mean I can skip that step in the future? And why won't the ISO itself burn? It's the same damn thing.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 You can skip the PGCEdit bit if you're just using it to try and set a layer break position. As you've seen, ImgBurn offers the same selection list and correctly builds the ISO so it can be burnt to DL media. Burning an ISO is not the same thing, you don't have the ability to move things around (apply padding) in a pre-built ISO and therefore will have (far) less potential layer break positions available to you.
