Burn speed crippled, Device Buffer unstable

I tried burning some .iso files today at 4x, and it's barely achieveing a constant 1x write speed, and the device buffer bar is going back and forth like crazy, never had this problem before, the DVD-Rs I'm using are the same I always use.

I'm using a Pioneer DVR-219L, and Ritek G05 DVD-Rs. I really hope this is a software problem, I haven't had the drive for too long and it's been fine until today.

I'm running the latest ImgBurn, on Windows XP SP3.

Here's the log, I'll update it when the current one finishes burning, so this is just the log up to this point.

My X drive is the HDD the ISO image is on. I don't even see a tools menu in IMGBurn? Where should I be looking?

Edit : I think I might know why this has happened, a website says that a drive might turn off DMA after trying to read a scratched disc so many times. Last disc I used was an old copy of Broodwar that's scratched to hell and didn't load no matter what I did.

Edit Again : Had to wait for the current job to finish, Resetting the DMA fixed it, Thanks for the quick help, I'll know what to do if it happens again. :)
