Trouble with creating .ISO from VOB files

Hi

I'm a complete newbie and I'd like to apologize in advance if I'm asking a silly question...

Basically, I've downloaded a documentary DVD which is DL and about 8G (with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders) and I wish to create a .ISO file with ImgBurn.

(The ultimate goal is to use the .ISO file to make copies of the DVD to give to friends.)

After many attempts (and I did read the posts in the guides section of this forum), all I ended up getting is an .MDS file with a separate AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder with all the VOB files in it.

Why is that ImgBurn builds the separate .MDS file as opposed to the .ISO file that encompasses everything?

Any help would be mostly appreciated (I've spent 1/2 day on it and feel totally stuck).

Please see below log.

Thank you in advance

Leo

I see no problem here.

The program made 2 files.

1.iso and 1.mds.

Just load the 1.mds file in write mode and burn.

The mds is a little file that contains info about things like where the layer break is. ImgBurn uses this information when burning the data (1.iso) to the disc.

Hi

Thank you so much for the lightning response! Much appreciated!

I now know what the problem is - I have a programme called 'Jzip' which works like winzip or winrar but it's free... Jzip automatically marks .ISO files with it's 'icon'. Hence I had thought the .ISO file was missing...

Thank you again. It was a silly question indeed :)
