first of all please excuse my english

soo i was burning some stuff with my new lite on, i was burning at 8x speed single layer dvds, just media files, after 25 dvds or so it gives me a io error, i look it up on google and try to burn using 6x speed, i countinue and burn another 25 or so dvds (i started this on backup day). But now as i was fearing it happened again at 6x too and i cant burn anything at all. Tried reinstalling the program, i removed daemon tools and sptd, and nothing works. here goes the log file

as you can see this time it failed just as it started burning, but yesterday the first times it was failing halfway thru the burn. Btw i was burning verbatim 16x sinle layer azo discs, the ones that are grey on top. i really dont know if they are low quality or something. Could it be the sata data cable? i used the old one i had inside the pc when i replaced my previous burner not the one they put in the lite on box... i thought they were the same cable... I cant lower speed anymore this dvds lowest speed is 6x. I think im fucked :(

thnx!

The drive is timing out as it tries to write to the media. The cable doesn't even come into it so it shouldn't be the cause of the problem.

If it errors out the same way at all supported write speeds, try giving the drive a clean with a cleaning disc and/or try to burn to another disc from a different spindle.

If it still fails after that, your drive could have developed a fault.

There's a newer firmware version available btw.
