Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

I have both power iso and alcohol 120% software packages installed. And when I start img burn I notice this warning---Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

I downloaded the latest version of Duplex Secure's SPTD driver and wanted to know if this will cause any issues with img burn?

I'd like to give img burn whatever it needs to run correctly. Will the latest version of Duplex Secure's SPTD driver cause issues still?

Thanks! :)

The performance issues that SPTD causes aren't limited to ImgBurn.

If you can burn and verify at your selected speed without a problem (and without odd drops in the speed graphs), you probably don't need to worry about them - or don't suffer from them anyway.

To be honest, I haven't tried the latest SPTD versions to see if the problem still exists.

The last time I had the issue was with ver 1.56 and after that never had SPTD installed. Also only DVD -R media was affected.

Tried with the latest 1.81 version and no speed limit issue. Seems they fixed the problem. :)
