mtgldr Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 HP laptop, 32 bit XP Here's the log and a screen shot. This is the third disk that has done this. THe first sat for 21 minutes before I cancelled it, the second had a bunch of errors because I tried to slow the burn speed down to 4x and the log said the drive will only work at 10x, 16x & 24x, This last time I let it run thinking maybe I wasn't waiting long enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Trying to burn an image of a bin file (win 7 rescue disk) to a CD. I've googled and there does not appear to be any other driver for the CD/DVR Drive. LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Open the CUE in notepad and copy + paste all the text please. Then just try moving/deleting the CUE and burn the BIN directly.
breakingglass Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Hello. I don't see my exact issue, so I'll add to this thread. Please advise if you'd prefer I open a new topic. The last several (5?) attempts to burn have resulted in the process hanging up at either 1% or 6% and no further. This hasn't been an issue before. Dell OptiPlex with external Samsung burning drive. I suspect that is not enough information for you. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
cholla Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Like you posted too little information. I also have a Samsung burning drive in an external enclosure. It won't complete burning a CD. I'm certain the problem is in the chipset in the external enclosure. It can read a CD fine & it can rip & burn a DVD with no problem. If you can try mounting the Samsung as an internal drive. I bet the problem disappears.
breakingglass Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 using the internal drive instead of the external drive fixed the problem. thank you very much.
