mmalves Posted June 5, 2012 Share Posted June 5, 2012 As that topic says, try burning at the other available write speeds (4x and 6x in your case). If that still doesn't work you can try cleaning your drive with a lens cleaning disc. Alternatively you could try using another burner, preferably not a slim-type since they're poor quality burners. hasankhan6191 Posted June 5, 2012 Author Share Posted June 5, 2012 I have a laptop, not that slim, but the shocking part is that same laptop burned the other media disc, when it burned I was much happy with IMGburn, but after that day I had to burn other disc, then the status bar said disc not empty, then lightening uk told me to get other media, I got it and now its bringing up I/O error... mmalves Posted June 6, 2012 Share Posted June 6, 2012 The burn process relies on the burner/firmware/media combination: laptop burners (also known as slim burners) in general have poor burn quality, so that's why it's important to use high quality media. You could try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually cleaning if you know how to carefully do it; you could try and find a firmware update for your burner in the laptop manufacturer's website, as this could improve the burner's support for DVD+R DL media; you can try other brands of DVD+R DL media and their supported write speeds on your burner to try and find a combination that works.
