Imgburn stopping at anywhere from 20-30%

this is my first burn using imgburn, ive gone through about 6 discs, and at anywhere between 20-30% mark, the burn just stops, and it wont let me close it at all and says the time left on burn is 'UNKNOWN'

also the 2 times it has gone past 30% it goes to around 40-50% ad says that i have an i/o error

any suggestions how to fix it?

i only had it at 8x to see if it would change anything, ive tried 4x and 6x (only speeds disc can do)

If it just stops burning, it's probably due to the controller the drive is attached to and the drivers you've got loaded for it.
