It gets to 48% and cannot get passed it, retries about 40 or 50 times then I get the little error code box about medium error, sector 781984 etc. Anyway around this? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 Is the disc dirty/scratched? I see that it's a disc which has been burnt rather than anything else. Unfortunately it's not a decent quality disc and so I've no idea what the burn quality was like at the time of burning, let alone now. If you have access to any other computers / drives, try reading it in one of those instead. Some are better at reading bad discs than others. Otherwise, you're pretty much out of luck. If you have a few days to spare, you could try running 'IsoPuzzle' on it and just leave it going until it's finished / given up / the drive starts smoking. rycleve1 Posted October 3, 2012 Author Share Posted October 3, 2012 lol, I just tried it on an older desktop computer and it completed in about the same time as it took the laptop to get to 47%. Thanks for the help. I noticed it was off by a couple kb than the normal disc is, still the same 3.09gb though. Is that normal or fine?
