Can I use imgburn to make an ISO to burn on a BD-R after ripping Bluray?

I ripped a Bluray movie into .TS files (MPEG-2 TS Video) using Aiseesoft Bluray Ripper. Overall, I had two ideas of what I could do with a ripping program. One was to rip to smaller files that play in different formats (mpegs, AVIs, etc), and the other was that I could rebuild the ripped files back into a standard bluray disc. To do the latter, I tried to use imgburn to make the ISO. When it was done, a 20Gbyte file was there, but when I mounted the ISO file, and tried to play on Windows with a bluray viewer (PowerDVD, which plays BDs fine). Was my mistake in the type of file that I ripped to, or was it a mistake in how I used imgburn to rebuild (create the) ISO? Or maybe a middle step to convert the files into something that I can rebuild?

You need a the proper BD video folder structure if you want it to be playable - so that's basically a BDMV folder with all the right subfolders and files with the correct names etc.

 

If you don't have that folder structure, you're pretty much stuck. Go back to the original disc and start again.

 

Once you've done it correctly, the 'Content Type' you see listed there in the Log will say 'BD Video' and not 'Data'.
