imgburn buffer size still too small in 2.5.7.0

once again i keep getting hangs with imgburn on my server (windows Server 2012). imgburn buffer is set to max of 512MB (why is it sooo low?? please increase).

It's funny you think the buffer size in ImgBurn is the problem here when it's taking 4.5 minutes to read 512 MB of data from your system and an additional 5.5 minutes for drive activity on the system to quieten down.

well i dont think i can upgrade the raid controller more than what it is doing now (~53MB/sec sustained read, 114MB/sec burst). Having a larger buffer would allow me tro cache the BDR in RAM and avoid any problems reading from the RAID controller.

its a loaded server so i cant reduce the load on it either.

Don't burn from that machine then, make an image on one with decent throughput and burn from that.

 

You could also slow the write speed down so it doesn't need it to be so fast in the first place.

 

Buffering an entire BD-R in memory isn't an option. ImgBurn is only a 32bit app and simply cannot address that much memory.
