[Boot Disk] & [ISO to files]

I know this might have been asked in the past, but I'm trying to make a bootable DVD from a Windows 8 install disk. I copied all the files from the Win8 installation disk to the HDD, took a few files I didn't need out, and added a couple of my own. Now, I have all the files I want to make a bootable DVD from on my HDD (D:\Windows8\ ), can someone tell me when I go to write all the files to an ISO file, I checked off "Make Image Bootable", then I go to write the ISO, now it's asking me for a "You have not selected a file to act as a boot image!". Where would I find this boot image file on the Windows 8 installation disk?

Lastly, is it possible to take an ISO file and, instead of writting to a disk, you would write the ISO to files on your disk, so that you can modify the ISO? I would appreciate it if anyone can assist me concerning this matter.

Thank You.

if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything...
