novedo Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 Just installed imgburn on my laptop, looking to burn a game. I've used discs from this stack on another machine (with imgburn) and it worked fine. I should note, I ran VSO inspector to check if my burner was DL writeable, and it passed. Here's the log: MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8D1 L.01 (SATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Unknown State of Last Session: Unknown Erasable: Unknown Formatted: Unknown Sessions: Unknown Free Sectors: 4,173,824 Free Space: 8,547,991,552 bytes Free Time: 927:32:74 (MM:SS:FF) Next Writable Address: 0 Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x Performance (Write Speed): Descriptor 1... -> B0: 0x00, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 4173823 (0x003FAFFF) -> RS: 5,540 KB/s (4x) - WS: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x) Descriptor 2... -> B0: 0x08, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 4173823 (0x003FAFFF) -> RS: 5,540 KB/s (4x) - WS: 5,540 KB/s (4x) Descriptor 3... -> B0: 0x08, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 4173823 (0x003FAFFF) -> RS: 5,540 KB/s (4x) - WS: 8,310 KB/s (6x) Any help guys? LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 9, 2013 Share Posted February 9, 2013 All that 'unknown' stuff is what's causing the problem. Your drive isn't returning info to certain commands. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
novedo Posted February 10, 2013 Author Share Posted February 10, 2013 Ya i figured, is there any fix I can try?For the record, my drive reads a DVD (movie) fine, so if its the read head, I'd be surprised. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 10, 2013 Share Posted February 10, 2013 You'd have to remove the disc from the drive, load the program, switch to Write mode, enable I/O debug mode by pressing F8 and then insert the disc. That'll make the program write a load more into the log window than normal. Once that info has come up in the disc info box on th right, press F8 again. Then save the contents of the Log window to a file (Files -> Save As) and upload it here on the forum so I can take a look. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
