holygamer Posted February 24, 2013 Share Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) I'm buring Bluray single layer discs but I don't know why my burns are failing when I've installed the lastest firmware for my drive. It fails as soon as it tries to write to the disc. Here's what I got in the log window: I 17:06:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started!I 17:06:47 Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64 Edition (6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1)I 17:06:47 Total Physical Memory: 8,330,068 KB - Available: 3,456,032 KBI 17:06:47 Initialising SPTI...I 17:06:47 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 17:06:47 -> Drive 1 - Info: HL-DT-ST BD-RE BH10LS38 1.00-A2 (H:) (ATAPI)I 17:06:47 -> Drive 2 - Info: PIONEER BD-RW BDR-207M 1.30 (F:) (ATAPI)I 17:06:47 -> Drive 3 - Info: ELBY CLONEDRIVE 1.4 (I:) (SCSI)I 17:06:47 Found 1 BD-ROM/HD DVD-ROM, 1 BD-RE and 1 BD-RE XL!I 17:47:50 Operation Started!I 17:47:50 Source File: J:\WWE Raw 1993, 1996-2000 Bluray ISOs\Raw 2000\Raw 2000 Disc 1 - January 3 to February 28.isoI 17:47:50 Source File Sectors: 12,051,840 (MODE1/2048)I 17:47:50 Source File Size: 24,682,168,320 bytesI 17:47:50 Source File Volume Identifier: Raw 2000 Disc 1 - January 3 to February 28I 17:47:50 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 40D270BD00B7E410I 17:47:50 Source File Application Identifier: ImgBurn v2.5.5.0I 17:47:50 Source File Implementation Identifier: ImgBurnI 17:47:50 Source File File System(s): UDF (2.50)I 17:47:50 Destination Device: [0:2:0] PIONEER BD-RW BDR-207M 1.30 (F:) (ATAPI)I 17:47:50 Destination Media Type: BD-R (Disc ID: LGEBRA-S04-000)I 17:47:50 Destination Media Supported Write Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8xI 17:47:50 Destination Media Sectors: 12,219,392I 17:47:50 Write Mode: BDI 17:47:50 Write Type: DAOI 17:47:50 Write Speed: 4xI 17:47:50 Hardware Defect Management Active: NoI 17:47:50 BD-R Verify Not Required: YesI 17:47:50 Link Size: AutoI 17:47:50 Lock Volume: YesI 17:47:50 Test Mode: NoI 17:47:50 OPC: NoI 17:47:50 BURN-Proof: EnabledI 17:47:50 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 17,980 KB/s (4x)I 17:47:50 Advanced Settings - Optimal Writing Speed: NoI 17:47:51 Filling Buffer... LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 24, 2013 Share Posted February 24, 2013 If it won't burn 'LGEBRA-S04-000' media, get some different one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
holygamer Posted February 24, 2013 Author Share Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Is that all the problem is then - it won't burn LGEBRA-S04-000 media? I also have an LG drive and the media works fine on that. I just assumed that all media would work. Edited February 24, 2013 by holygamer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 24, 2013 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Yes, it's down to the drive/firmware/media combo being used. You may have more luck at one of the other supported write speeds though - but ultimately it's still down to the above. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
