Interpretation: Check Condition. CDB: 2A 00 00 03 C0 00 00 20 00. Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 960 - 991. Sense Area: ... Interpretation: Command Sequence Error For this burning test I used two old cd-r discs to burn an Linux ubuntu dist. But it also fails with great working dvd-r discs from infinite with fullface printable surface (no problems before) whats wrong.. last time I had any problems with imgburn it was my burners firmware. but now?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 You'll have to burn another one then so we can see what's up. If you're using DVD-R, just enable test mode and then you won't waste any discs. Copy + paste the full log once you've done that.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 The software doesn't matter, the drive is erroring out with a 'Write Error'. That's direct from the drive, I mearly display the error. Clean the drive, maybe the laser is dirty.

kevdriver Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 IZON, I think the problem may just be that your burner doesn't like the media your using. Have you tried burning to different media and seeing if that makes a difference? How old is that Asus burner your using. ?

kevdriver Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 ZION, Don't get me wrong mate, your media may be fine its your burner that doesn't like the media, You say this this happens with other media as well, It could very well be that your burner is starting to bite the dust. Not sure where you live but new burners are very reasonable now and buying a new one just may solve your problem. I've gone through a burner in a year while I have one here thats 5yrs old and still going strong. You've updated your firmware, cleaned your lazer, checked your DMA, used other media with the same error message popping up........... might be time for a new burner..... Pioneer, plextor, benq.... all real decent machines..........
blutach Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Don't suppose you've considered lowering the burn speed? Seems you drive is erroring out at the edges. Perhaps the media is a bad batch or something has happened to it. Try burning slower (4x). Regards

kevdriver Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 ZION, when you open IMGburn and go to tools>settings, is .IMG checked off in the file associations box? I don't think just changing the file name will honestly make any difference. Don't want you to waste another disc. Imgburn does recognize .IMG file associations.
