Hi guys, first post here.

Wanted to create an .iso file on my usb drive (fat32) and its a rather large dvd iso (~6gb) and imgburn said it was making an .iso but instead it came out as a .mdf

do you know if this is because fat32 has a 4gb limit on file transfers? I didnt know that the creation of the iso (or .mdf rather) was considered a file transfer.

Maybe its nothing, so long as DTools can read the mdf i dont care but i do like the neat package of one .iso file instead of a .mdf and .i01 .i02 etc of the MDS image.

Yes, it's because you can't make files larger than 4GB in size on a FAT32 drive.

There's no MDF file, just an MDS file and the different parts that make up the ISO (I01, I02 etc).
