r3dp0is0n Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) Hello, I have been having this problem with IMGBURN since I updated to latest version...I did uninstall it and re-installed it to see if that fixes, problem but nothing. the disk seem to burn okay(ISO to DISK) but EVERY SINGLE time it fails at "verify" and the disk(DVD) becomes unusable, my dvd drive cant read nor my windows 8 OS. Hey LIGHTING UK, so you think there is nothing wrong with hardware or drivers or software according to the log files? why do you think the drive will do better on those speeds? its an internal blue-ray/ 16X dvd burner that I had probably for 3 years now, never had a problem writing on AWS speeds before... So you think that's the issue? what bothers me is that at burning there seems to be no issue but is rather at verifying when I get the problem and the error messages. Let me know. Thanks! LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 All I can see in the log is that the drive thinks it's burning the discs ok but is then unable to read back what it just wrote. So either it did a bad job of burning the disc (low quality burn) or it has a general issue with reading discs. Max speed rarely produces the best quality burns. It's only ever going to be your drive or the media at fault here. If you were able to burn and verify ok at 16x on those discs before then it could just be that your drive is dirty or it's slowly dying. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

r3dp0is0n Posted August 5, 2013 Author Share Posted August 5, 2013 I cleaned lens i opened my rig changed sata cable and power cable for the device before trying it again... but as you can see on the log above same problem. It's one of the only things software can do that might make the slightest bit of different to how a drive burns a disc. I didn't mean it to sound that way, what I meant to say was that it could be IMGBURN and not my drive so that's why I tried power iso to see if it was a software program issue or indeed a hardware drive problem.
