kolohe Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I'm completely new to ImgBurn. I've been trying to do the 'calculate image size' and on 1 folder/file it freezes at 14% and on another folder/file it freezes at 95%. How do I correct this freeze? Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Are you sure it's freezing and not just telling you that 14% of the disc (for whatever's listed as the media) is being used up?
kolohe Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) No, I'm not sure. I assumed it was freezing because it just kept showing the bar and percent. If it's not freezing how do I proceed to the next step and away from the calculate screen with out closing the whole program? Sorry for being so dense. Are you sure it's freezing and not just telling you that 14% of the disc (for whatever's listed as the media) is being used up? Edited September 6, 2013 by kolohe
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Next step? That would be to start building the image file or burning to disc... so just click the big 'Build' (or 'Write' ?) button on the left of the screen. You don't *need* to 'Calculate' at all. It's just an 'FYI' stage/feature.
kolohe Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 OK, thanks! One last question, for now. I'm using DVDfab. When I copy a movie to my HDD it shows the movie name as a folder. Within that folder are 2 files. Do I just select and burn the video_ts file only? I think I read that someplace only now I can't find where that was! p.s. I know DVDfab has a setting to make ImgBurn the default burning engine and it should automatically burn the right file(s). But I'm having a problem with it automatically writing to the disk. Don't know if it's the program or my computer but I continually get "looking for writable media". I tell you this because of this issue I unfortunately have to manually select the file to be burned. Next step? That would be to start building the image file or burning to disc... so just click the big 'Build' (or 'Write' ?) button on the left of the screen. You don't *need* to 'Calculate' at all. It's just an 'FYI' stage/feature.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 You should just select the video_ts folder. The program will take care of the rest. There are DVD video guides in the guides forum if you get stuck.
