snah Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Hi guys, Just been burning a lot of Blu-ray images which all worked flawlessly, then I come to burn this one and it doesn't get past "reserving track" or something (ive forgotten exactly what) so i try and stop the burn process but it wont stop. I leave it for 1 hour and still no sign of giving up, Imgburn doesnt want to close and the disk drive wont open so i restart my PC. It hangs in pre-boot with the "press f8 for bios information etc" screen and wont carry on into boot... So press the disk tray and the blu-ray comes out and then i reboot again. This time nothing happens at all, no boot screen, monitor says no signal input. So i try restarting a few more times and still it powers on but no signal goes to the monitor and no boot screen appears. Ive just unplugged my computer all together and left it. Any ideas what i should do? Im freaking out a little bit as you can probably tell. Thanks,
snah Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Ok, After leaving the pc off for a bit and turning it on again it seemed to come alive and I went to recovery mode and the root cause of the error was drivers for the blu-ray. Admittedly this is my fault however, i am using the Pioneer BDR-208DBK drive which did not come with a drivers disk and has 0 support information on the Pioneer website and appears to be too new to have any kind of update available. So windows is handling it? I have already burnt 10+ Blu-rays with this drive and it is only now that it has started giving this error. I just tried to burn again and it hung on reserving track again. Here is my log pre-burn: I 10:47:51 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! snah Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 I'm half lucky to have another Blu-ray burner leant to me by a friend which is USB based and very old. I was reluctant to use it because of its age but I just figured i have to get this job done by tonight so its my last resort. I plugged it in and started burning my ISO and it seemed to go well until it gave this error: Here is my imgburn log: I 10:47:51 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I'd try some other disc if I were you. You've got 2 drives that don't appear to like them.
