tindolph Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Thank you for your earlier reply regarding the difference between standard and advanced mode project files. That prompted me to briefly examine the project files when the difference between the two was immediately clear. Since the advanced project appears to be a list of all dirs and files to backup can you confirm that once an advanced project is created and saved any files or subdirs that are subsequently added will not be included in the project unless explicitly added? Secondly, if this is the case, advanced input mode should not be used to create projects to perform general backups since in time new folders and files will not be inclulded? Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 That's correct. It only includes what's in the backup list. You can manually edit the IBB and use a wildcard (*) if you want to add a folder and all of its contents when a project is loaded and advanced input mode is being used. This is mentioned in the 2.5.8.0 change log. It means you can still make use of Advanced input mode's ability to rename / redirect folders elsewhere. If you aren't worried about redirecting/renaming stuff, just use standard input mode. That will always search the listed 'Source' folders for files / subfolders once you've set it building.
