janick Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) After I rip my movie with Imgburn and have the ISO ready for extraction, I then, using 7-Zip, extrac to "nameofmovie". The resulting file folder has a bunch a "class files" and nothing I can use handbrake for. I'm not sure why I can't get a VIDEO_TS file. LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Why would you bother reading the disc with ImgBurn at all? Just copy the files off it using Explorer.
janick Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Why would you bother reading the disc with ImgBurn at all? Just copy the files off it using Explorer. I'm trying to rip my moviesto to my hard drive. Once i have the ISO file i can not play and have to extract it. This si when i have a problem. Basiacally the ISO is useless fro me so i must be doing something wrong. My end goal is to RIP and movie to hard drive and then view that movie with VLC
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 You should look into converting them to MKVs or something. You'd do that straight from the disc though. Reading the disc to an ISO and then extracting the ISO is the same as just copying the files from the disc.
ianymaty Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 As I know VLC can open and play ISOs from DVDs isn't it? Also you could use VirtualClone Drive to mount the ISO.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Yeah it plays DVD ones but I'm not so sure about BD ones.
