how to close disk.

Hi. i have dvd that vhc to dvd recorded and the computer cannot read it. the dvd recorder can read it.

 how  do i go about finalizing the disk .

If close track, close session and then close disc don't work, you're probably out of luck.

close track didnt fail, it just felt like it didnt respond.

then close session gave that response.

Just an update.

i tried it with a second disk.

i clicked on close track, and nothing happened.

what is supposed to happen.

I just sends that command to the drive. Either it successfully processes it (and you think nothing happens) or it fails and you see the I/O error box.

But then when I send the close session I get the box that says what I posted before.

Because I don't hear the drive spinning at all.

Isn't there an option in the DVD recorder to finalize the disc? I know that such a feature exists in DVD camcorders. Look in the manual.

Well I have lost the remote control

 

I found the solution. Using nero it works fine but I wanted to use imgburn

Did you have to burn more as a multisession disc to then close it?

Not sure. The disk were full no space for much burning. With nero has a little button that said close DVD-vr

 

It didn't create more sessions. Or add more data
