donx2000 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Hi, I want to create a IMG on my PC from a CD which contains both, Audio files (which will play when I insert the CD into a CD player) and some other files (i.e. transcriptions of the audio files). Whenever I attempt to create a image from this CD, only the Audio files are copied, all the other files are lost. The image on my PC is then also seen as a AUDIO CD. Are there some settings to tell IMG BURN that there are audio and normal files on the CD? Any help is appreciated! Thx in advance!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Post the log please. If the disc contains multiple sessions, the program will have created a multisession image. You can't tell the program to only read certain bits of the disc, it always reads the entire thing. So assuming the disc is what you say it is, I expect whatever you're using the examine the image with is at fault here. Try actually burning the image back to a CD-RW.
donx2000 Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks for replying!!! I burnt it on a CD and voila, it works. So the image file is ok. The problems seems to be with deamon tools. It still won't "open" the CD, always playing the audio files immediatey! Any suggestion?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 You'd have to make the image with DAEMON Tools itself. It'll need it in its own format if it's to see both sessions properly.
donx2000 Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Ok, that makes sense. Didn't even know DEAMON tools can do that! Thank you very much for your help! Have a nice one! -closed- Edited May 1, 2014 by donx2000
