Parting_Timo Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Hello, so, I was hit the malware in imgBurn just like tens or hundreds other people who have written here earlier. I had to do full restore from my weeekly backup. Noww, here on, I never ever install anything before checking, like: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/ab5ab68b541c0de51d7e9eafe1cbe5267347c1e6edf1faeedc79e01fd774375e/analysis/ I only registered here to say adieu. And I must thell that while doing the registration it came to my mind that possible the "activate your account" page will infect my computer. So I put the NoScript exension of the Firefox to maximum protection first, just to be sure. I btw was ready to make an donation. Now I will seach a legit shareware or payware instead of stealty malware like imgBurn. Timo
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 There's no malware in ImgBurn. You're potentially offered 3rd party apps during its installation but you can opt out of installing them if you don't want them and take 5 seconds to read the screens.
