HaroldMorgan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Hi. When I installed ImgBurn it did not create a program group. Also, there is no uninstall option in control panel. What went wrong, and how can I uninstall the program?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Are you sure you used the official setup program? ImgBurn is just an exe file really, so delete it and it's gone.
HaroldMorgan Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Yes, I'm on Windows 7and used the setup program. I saw that imgburn created a ton of registry entries so I'm uncomfortable just deleting the exe. Is there an uninstaller program I can get? Where would it be located? Searched to no avail.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 The installer creates the uninstaller. If you really didn't end up with one in the same folder as the ImgBurn exe, I suggest you install it again and hope it gets created this time. Quite why it didn't get made the first time around is beyond me.
HaroldMorgan Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Installed 3 times. All I get is the imgburn.exe in the rmi folder. Anyway you could send me the uninstaller?
ianymaty Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 This not sounds good. What rmi folder you talk about? What is the name of the setup file you install? It should be SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe from one of this mirrors http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
HaroldMorgan Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Imgburn.exe was installed in users/myname/appdata/roming/rmi.
HaroldMorgan Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 The name of the install that I am downloading is not what you said. It is imburn.exe. Tried every link I could find on the site.
HaroldMorgan Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Ok, now I found it. Have a program group now.
ianymaty Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Than it's clear that what you installed there isn't the original install. You got it from some advertisment link probably, not from the officially suported links Good to here you sorted out.
