I enabled the portable version of ImgBurn via command line (as recommended by some users a few years ago). Under Settings > File Location, I am not able to specify relative paths (every time I go on a different computer, the absolute path of the folders I've chosen such as D:\ImgBurnTemp is created and used), regardless of where the portable version of ImgBurn is. I want to store all ImgBurn-related files within the external hard drive the application is in.

Thanks.

I entered the relative paths in the ini file (ex. \ImgBurn) and ImgBurn would recognize the paths at first launch, but when the HDD is assigned to a different letter, the paths remain the same (not pointing to the external hard drive). I noticed that the Language directory points correctly to the folder of where the application directory is (even if the folder is moved to a different drive), just need the rest of the paths that ImgBurn uses to support relative pathing.

I don't really understand.

If your path in the ini is relative (and assuming it never gets overwritten), I don't see how it would know to point to any previous drive letter etc.

In the ini file, I specify:    FILELOCATIONS_GraphDataFiles= \GraphDataFiles          <- relative path

When I run ImgBurn, the application detects what drive ImgBurn is on--if it is on F, it becomes F:\GraphDataFiles.

When I open the ini file again after closing ImgBurn, it is no longer FILELOCATIONS_GraphDataFiles= \GraphDataFiles and is now:    FILELOCATIONS_GraphDataFiles=F:\GraphDataFiles       <- absolute path

Thus when I copy ImgBurn to a drive assigned to a different letter, it still uses F:\GraphDataFiles, not the relative path I specified earlier.
