Ok, I am using 2 ASUS 124B-1ST i drives One is less than 2 months old the other is a few days old Up until 4 or 5 days ago i havent had any problems I use Verbatim discs, for the last month i have used 003 (50pks) but prior to that i had always used 001 (20pks) Below you will find my latest IMGBurn log and a ABGX log Up until this last burn I guess I had "enable BurnProof" checked in the settings. Turned it off this last burn and when i did I got a I/O error for the first time when running "verify" after the disc was done burning. LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Your drive produced a bad burn. Revert ImgBurn's settings to their default values, you don't need to mess around with them. If your drive supports the command, try clearing its OPC history. If it still can't produce a decent burn, you'll have to try sourcing another spindle of discs and hope they're better.

Cant Clear OPC as this drive doesnt allow it. Tried to install one to the HDD and it didnt even go 30 seconds b4 i got the "dirty disc" error. On a whim i decided to try and play both copies and they both seem to be playing fine. LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Those aren't the default settings. MKM-001-00 were better being burnt at 4x than 2.4x. They may play for a while but as soon as it reaches the unreadable bit, it'll error out. Unreadable is unreadable.
