sdg124 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I've updated my burner drive firmware. All types of discs have worked fine, but my new set of RiData BD-R DL does not seem to even start the burn as it errors into a power calibration error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's a copy of the log file. Many thanks in advance! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 If your drive doesn't like them, there probably isn't much you can do. You've already got OPC enabled and that's the only option I'd have said to try toggling.
sdg124 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Thank you for the quick response. I have 2 drives, 1 for DVD burning, 1 for blu Ray burning . Does disconnecting the power from one drive sometimes help resolve "power calibration error"?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Unless the pc can't supply enough juice when it's trying to burn, removing the other drive shouldn't make a difference. That said, if it's easy to try it, try it. At the moment, your drive can't find a suitable laser power level to burn those discs.
ggggrrreeg Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Hello, I had the same problem. I find maybe have found solution : i only clean the optical and then all my burn are OK...
