jrogers1965 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I recently got a new pc. I installed IMGBurn ok, and now I'm trying to set it up to remember my preferred media types & proper write speeds. Problem is, program won't close now!! Status bar says - "Terminating Program Update Thread..." idea's?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Either let it through your firewall or tell it not to check for updates. At the moment, it looks like it's being blocked and the program is waiting for a command to finish processing - it's at the mercy of the OS.
jrogers1965 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 It's closed now. I finally got Task manager to close it Thanks for quick response
jrogers1965 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Sorry to bother U Lightning, but it's doing it every time I open the program. Can't find the Auto Update settings either. Also, keep seeing MAX burn speed even though I put in a setting for Verbatim discs. Don't want to be a pain in the butt
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The updates option is on the Events tab in the settings. Are you sure you've configured AWS correctly? All you do is add the MID code to the list and pick the speed for it. Then on the main screen you make sure AWS is selected.
jrogers1965 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 I think I got everything set correctly. But it still hangs up when I try to close it. Isn't it supposed to close automatically when finished a burn? I checked everything on my laptop & it works properly on that.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 What's the message in the status bar when you try to close it? The same as in your initial post? If so, what I said in my first post still stands.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Have you let it through your firewall? Which one are you running? The issue is external to the program.
jrogers1965 Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) I just changed both Windows & Norton Firewall settings to allow IMGBURN. Seems to be ok now. Thank you for your help & patience! Edited January 23, 2015 by jrogers1965
