LIGHTNING UK!
So it's either the discs you're using or the system as a whole. Try booting into safe mode and see if you have the same issue.
akgarlic
Which safe mode should I try? Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking or safe mode with cmd? i tried the simple safe mode but the DVD wasn't even detected.
LIGHTNING UK!
Simple safe mode... but it doesn't really matter. I don't know why your drive didn't even show up... weird! In normal windows mode (not safe mode), go into Write mode, right click the Destination drive drop down box and pick 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt that comes up and then copy + paste everything from the Log window please.

akgarlic
One more thing I forgot to mention- When the burning process starts, the speed spins for about 3-4 seconds and stops.

LIGHTNING UK!
You aren't using decent discs but the drive still shouldn't just be getting stuck and not erroring out. I don't understand why your drive doesn't show up in safe mode. Your machine's sata controller is only in basic ata mode rather than ahci. Do you have any other discs you can try? Do you have anything in your filters drivers list? It's in the Tools menu and you can copy + paste the info.
akgarlic
I tried to burn the same DVD in my friend's laptop but the result was same. This might mean that the DVD was corrupt.I havent tried another disc on my PC yet.
