Radish
Hi, I'm a total newbie to ImgBurn. I just downloaded ImgBurn 2.5.8.0. Is it possible to use ImgBurn as a portable application? If it is possible, how does the user make it portable?
LIGHTNING UK!
Yes, take a look at the readme.txt file. It might tell you what you need to know.
Radish
Okay, thanks. So I launched ImgBurn in the following way using a command prompt: ImgBurn.exe /portable /settings "ImgBurn.ini" Once that was done, on closing ImgBurn it did write an ImgBurn.ini to its 'install' location. Having now done that does that mean that from now on to use ImgBurn as a portable I need only double-click ImgBurn.exe (as one would normally do to launch an app) and it will run as a portable? Does it now also mean that it is safe to delete ImgBurn entries in the registry? Edited May 6, 2015 by Radish
LIGHTNING UK!
Just quickly check the ini contains the term 'portable' in it somewhere and that its set to 1. Assuming it is, you're good to go.
Radish
Okay, I looked in the ini file and see the entry "PortableMode=1" so I take it that it's now portable. Many thanks.
