JDOG93422 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 When I install windows 7 it says drivers missing. Insert installation disk with correct drivers. How can I add my drivers to the installation disk.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Drivers for what? I can't imagine it wouldn't be able to get itself up and running in one form or another.
JDOG93422 Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 It's an old compaq that had xp and I wiped the hard drive and installing windows 7.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Yes but why not install win 7 from the basic disc and then add drivers via a USB stick later on? If the machine is too old / weird for win 7 to provide basic support (and by that I mean install successfully) for it out of the box, it probably shouldn't have win 7 installed on it anyway. The only time I've ever had an issue with installing an OS is where it didn't have built in drivers for a scsi card and that was running the only HDD the machine had in it. So basically, no scsi driver = no HDD = nowhere to install the OS to.
JDOG93422 Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Yes I be leave that's the problem. I was messing around with the bios. I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
JDOG93422 Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 But I did have 7 loaded on it and working until I tried to use loader activator and it went to a black screen when I rebooted it.
ianymaty Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Since this seems is not ImgBurn related or a burning problem you should look for help in other forums that deals with OS installations. One very helpfull is http://forums.mydigitallife.info/forum.php
