I 20:26:59 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 1) W 20:26:59 Drive D:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB I 20:26:59 Initialising SPTI... I 20:26:59 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 20:26:59 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD+RW! Does my DVD drive not write? Cheers in advance.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 It does write, but only to the + (plus) format DVD discs. Also check the drives firmware is up-to-date as new versions fix issues with certain media and allow the drive to support newer types of media.

I had just bought a DVD+RW (which I didn't know at the time) and bought the cheapest dvds I could find (DVD-R 5 pack). Permission to start laughing: granted. . Now the DVD laser is gone, so it can only write CD-R/RW now. Permission to start laughing: denied. Edited October 18, 2006 by JasonFriday13
