Where is the button to format BD RE DL??

A search on this topic brings up the reply "Yup-Tools-Drive-Erase"

However in the tools dropdown on my version of Image Burn 2.5.8.0, the choices "drive" and "change" are dimmed out.

I have tried with both eraseable BD's and DVD's formatted, and unformatted in my drive with no change.

The drive is an LG RE BH 12LS38, firmware 1.03 D01.

The system is an I-7 1st gen 965 ex with 24 gb of ram, running win-7x64.

Any thoughts gratefully accepted.

Go into Write mode and then try again.

 

There's no drive active when you're on the 'Ez Mode Picker' screen, hence why those options are greyed out.

As you pointed out, I chose tools from the first start screen.

I abandoned any diagnostic skills that I thought I possessed,and cried wolf.

I am impressed at the quick answer, no less from the CEO him self.
