dweeze Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hi all, I have a .img file (~1.8MB in size) that imgburn wont accept as a valid file type. However, in Tools/Settings it is checked OK. Some other forum posts here suggested converting to .iso first (which I did with Folder2ISO). While the .iso file was acepted and burnt OK by imgburn, when I look at the CD, it has a .img file on it. Basically, still unusable. Any hints?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 The file association stuff in the settings has nothing to do with what files are supported / not supported. The image is just not considered valid because it contains no filesystem. So basically, ImgBurn won't burn it because it won't be readable in Windows anyway. Where did you get the file? Do you know what it's supposed to be? Are you sure you're meant to burn it to a cd/dvd?
lfcrule1972 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I guess your crystal ball is foggy today eh boss ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Yeah the damn thing has gone on the blink again.
lfcrule1972 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Have you been using CMC MAG polishing cloths on it again ?
