Gordon George Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I am a relative neophyte but I have copied several DVDs successfully using DVD Decryter/Shrink and burning using ImgBurn. However, I am now getting the following message when I try to burn the current project: 1/O error! Device [0:1:0] PHILIPS DVD +-R DVD 8701 5D24 (E ) ATA ScsiSTATUS : 0x02 Interpretation : Check Condition CDB : 28 00 00 0E 4D D4 00 00 01 00 Interpretation : Read (10) ? Thank you!!!
cornholio7 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 can you post a log please , that would help us to help you
polopony Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 if you're attempting to make an Iso of an already existing disc then the read error is exactly that, the drive cant read whats written if its a disc you're attempting to duplicate then look at it carefully for dirt or a scratch ,but all said we really need more info and like Corn said a log is the place to start
Gordon George Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 Could you please explain or direct me to a link where I can learn how to post the log. Thank you
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Your drive has burnt the disc ok but it can't read it back (at tested by the 'verify' stage) - hence the 'read error'. This is basically because the drive made a naff burn. Update your drives firmware and use decent media. *Decent* being Verbatim (MCC dye) or Taiyo Yuden.
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Could you please explain or direct me to a link where I can learn how to post the log. Thank you Your log appears in the bottom window of ImgBurn. It shows us alot about what is going on, your drive, media and that sort of stuff. When you have a problem, just copy and paste the log with your question or reply. This is an old one of mine so you can see what we're talking about.
