Alitai Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 (edited) Hi there Does anyone know what i have to change that the ISO will become the same sha1 value after burning (Write) on a dvd9 and then creating (Read) the ISO from the dvd9 again? The ISO is over 5 GB. Does this even work? Can't find something on google but perhaps i use the wrong search terms... Many Thanks Regards Alitai Edited September 14, 2019 by Alitai
Alitai Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 I just found out that when i doing it with Ultra ISO (Make CD/DVD Image...) then i get the same sha1 value. This is very strange to me. Does anyone know why this happens? Many Thanks Regards Alitai

LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Can you post the log of the original burn too please? It's probably to do with the size of the original image not being a multiple of 16 sectors - so it's then rounded up to 16 when you burn (the drive does that). That in turn makes the burnt disc look larger.
Alitai Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 Okay now: I did everything again. Ultra ISO did the Job right. LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Yes, it's exactly what I said it was in my first reply. The source image size isn't a multiple of 16 sectors. Drive pads it during burn -> burnt disc comes out looking bigger -> read mode reads the full (bigger) disc.
Alitai Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Ahh okay. Thanks so much. That means that you divide 1315487 / 16 = 82’217.9375 and there is nothing i can do about it? Of course i can change the Image but i need the sha1 to be correct. Math.... Thanks again. Lovely Week Alitai P.S We need a ISO-Volume-Filter. Now i find everything on google because i know what i have to search for. Edited September 16, 2019 by Alitai
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Quote I 16:51:17 Source File: C:\Users\Test\Downloads\Win10_1809Oct_v2_English_x64.iso I 16:51:17 Source File Sectors: 2’630’945 (MODE1/2048) 2630945 / 16 = 164434 remainder 1 So you're 1 sector into the next ECC block (a block of 16 sectors) and that's why your burnt disc shows up as having a size of 2630960 sectors. It's rounded up to the next multiple of 16. Can you copy and paste all of the disc info from the box on the right when you're in Read mode and that burnt disc is in the drive please?
Alitai Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Edit: I come to a break point of 1315488 for my ISO but this also doesn't help. It's the ISO which must be right.
