I'm having trouble burning this image to DVD, without read sector errors showing up when the disc is being verified. Thought I would post the log to see if anything sticks out to anyone, as to why. Using Taiyo Yuden dvd-r. Same read errors after several times trying to burn the disc. The image is 98% of the dvd capacity. Could it be too close to full? Thanks in advance to any help on this. :)

Thanks,

D

is it this one ISO only you cant burn ?

The yudens are quality discs and mine burn to the absolute rim without failure if you think its too big compress it a little more and see what happens .

even though it doesn't verify it doesn't mean that it wont play on your standalone OK

you can look at the disc very carefully and see if theres any discoloration on the disc maybe little spots darker than the rest of the blank

In your log above it appears that you have ImgBurn set to burn those discs at "MAX" yet fron the log they only burn at 4x...... does this always happen ?

I have used those discs extensively and they always reach 8x on a full burn.....

Yes, this is the first iso that I haven't been able to burn/verify successfully.

Checked out the discs and there is no apparent discolorization or spotting anywhere.

Went back and looked at my logs, and yes, all of my burns are only reaching a max write of 4x, even though I have ImgBurn set to burn at MAX (8x)...

I tried to burn the iso with ImgBurn set to burn at 4x, and still a bad verify resulted.

I'll try to reduce the size of the iso, next, and I'll report back.

Thanks again for the help so far,

D

Set to burn at 10x and 12x, but they still burned at only 4x. Burned OK, but verify still not happening. Haven't had time to shrink the iso and burn yet. I'll report back in the next day or two.

Thanks,

D

Wild guess here, but with my BenQ it comes with software that supposedly allows you to restrict burn speeds on media to improve quality - does your Plex come with anything like this ?
