nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Well, I have a modded xbox and make backups of my games and last week, I was able to do it no problem, but now for some reason, I get this error Can anyone please help? I used the same .iso same settings, same brand disc, and everythign last week and it worked. How can I go about fixing this?
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Post the log from ImgBurns' bottom window so we can see what's going on, please.
nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 I want to but I don't have that log saved or anything and to get it again, I would need to waste another DVD-R and I'm not the most wealthiest person in the world and this error ruined 3 already. It says program memory area update Failure, so it doesnt have to do with the DVD or anything, its the program itself and I don't know.
lfcrule1972 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Have you not got log saving enabled in your settings (mmm - maybe it's just in the latest beta version... ) Check your ImgBurn settings to see if there is a save location for the logs, if there is copy paste the last log (hopefully the one above) into your next post. Without the log we will be mostly guessing......
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 They're all drive errors, nothing to do with the program's memory usage etc. Your drive failing to finalise the disc. So things to check are: 1. Your drive's firmware is up-to-date. 2. You're using decent quality Verbatim (MCC dye) or Taiyo Yuden discs.
nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 but the thing is, is that I burned this same iso a week ago on the same brand disc flawlessly, so I don't think its my drivers

cornholio7 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 discs are not the best, maybe some have worked but these are really going to cause you problems, as already suggested use better discs check the scans here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=654 your firmware should be on A106 http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1973 also choosing 1x or 2x speed is not supported by the drive
nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) So, what should I do? Download that firmware? Also, if its the disc, why'd they work before? Edited November 21, 2006 by nintendo9713
cornholio7 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 yes , and get some better discs if you want to be able to read from them in some months from now
nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 So which one do I download on that page? theres all the a101 stuff and I don't want a free trial or anything.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Like corny said, you should be on A106.
nintendo9713 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 Well, i upgraded it, and it finalised the disc but now they can't be read I'm about to cry but I don't know if ya'll know about burning xbox backups so, thanks for the help, they do complete and it says its burned correctly
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 If it burns and verifies, the disc is ok in the burner. Decent discs (Verbatims and Taiyo Yudens) work in more players / other machines than cheaper stuff. This is not the place to discuss xbox issues so please don't.
