Some iso files that I burn to a disc work and others don't. Those that don't usually show an error during verification. The result is that the disc can't be read by my Blu Ray player.

I have attached a screen shot and the log of one that failed.

This could be the reason:

Disc ID: RITEK-F16-01

Your burner may not like those.  You can try and see if there's a firmware update for your drive that might make them work better or try a better quality disc like Verbatim DataLife Plus.  NOT Verbatim Life Series.  DataLife Plus, which you generally only find in online stores.

I just tried to run imgBurn with a Verbatim America, LLC Verbatim DataLifePlus 94839 DVD Rewritable Media -DVD+RW -4X -4.70 GB disc. The program indicated that the disc had to be formatted. It has been stuck at 99% of "Erasing Disc" for 9 hours. If I try to close imgBurn, I get a message that I cannot cancel the operation. Any ideas?

Could be that it's a slim model drive.  Slim models are generally only good at reading things, not writing.  If you can't use a half height drive because your tower doesn't have that kind of bay or you're using a laptop, you're better off buying a USB enclosure and a half height drive to put it in.  That's what I've done for about 10 years now.

You're using high quality DataLife Plus MKM media, so that's probably not an issue.  The drive may simply not like that kind of media, though.  You could check for a firmware update and installl it.  See if that works.

You definitely shouldn't need to wait longer than an hour to see if it works or not.  On 8x DVD+RW media, it takes less than 10 minutes to fully format those discs.

Could have been a bad blank.  They happen.  I recently tried to fully format a brand new DVD+RW but after like 30 minutes, it wasn't done.  So, I canceled it and discovered what had happened: there was a large blob under the data surface where the writable area should have been.  It came out of the factory that way.  The next one was fine.  So were the 2 after that.
