dontasciime
1 [iNFODISC-A10-01] not the best Media. 2 Your firmware is out of date Latest is here ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp28501-29000/SP28709.exe however please verify that you have HP or COMPAQ laptop dvd writer. 3 I would be stopping the use of Any dvd. If your confident the link i posted is for your version of dvd writer then, exit any programs, anydvd, disable any anti virus program you have running, anything else either exit or disable, do not have a disc in drive when you update it, and that tray is closed. Make sure there is no interruption to the firmware update process, like battery going flat, electricity supply going out etc. At your own risk Edited December 12, 2006 by dontasciime
rheo
thanks for the reply...I will definitely try that.......but if I do not use anydvd, i won't be able to backup DVD movies ...or do you have an other suggestion??? I will let you know about the update that i am going to do tonight....Thanks a bunch
lfcrule1972
You are having problems burning an image as I see it not backing up your movies (which we can't help you with!). Therefore first thing I would do is disable anydvd as per the ImgBurn warning in your log..... But, it's your call......
LIGHTNING UK!
Seems to me that your drive can't even erase the +RW discs you're using. So now would be a good time to get some new ones that use a different dye.
rheo
I did the update and it was fine, I tried to burn one movie an it was fine.......BUT today I try it again and it keeps giving me the same thing as before.....I disabled AnyDVD always. Do you think I should get the new DVD writer?? I don't ahve to buy the whole new computer, do I?
