LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 What message is displayed in the statusbar? Also, from what I've seen, your layerbreak position is wrong and so it wouldn't work even if your drive had burnt a decent copy.
dontasciime Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) you not got a .dvd file to go with ISO you may get away with setting layer break manually to 1913760 in imgburn or create a new text document then paste this in LayerBreak=1913760 name_of_your_iso_here.iso then goto file and Save As where it asks for filename type this including speech marks also make sure you type the name of the ISO in your case cod3 (in the same case as ISO filename case) "cod3.dvd" then click on save you should now have something you could right click on and choose burn with imgburn. also the duration time of burn should be 41.51 or 42.51 or there abouts @2.4, though i can see 2.5 max in your log, so maybe ignore what i typed about duration, however check to see if there is a newer firmware for your nec. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 If it says medium not present, you either removed the disc as ImgBurn cycled the tray (doh!) or it can't reinitialise the disc having just written it - that would mean you have a duff batch of Verbatims or your drive is screwed.

Could be my drive alright, i cant understand howw one burnt ok though and 3 diff iso's wont. Any way to test drive??! Edited January 9, 2007 by mccartfm

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 When it's sitting there like that, instead of aborting, just eject + reinsert the disc a few times. Maybe on one of them it'll work. In any case, just because that drive won't read it, it doesn't mean others wont.
dontasciime Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I don't bother to verify verbs, I know it is wise to verify but i verify each disc differently, i play it in what it was designed for if it plays and the movie plays all the way to end without a hitch then thats verified to me, I have ran off a long line of backups and not verified them at all, as writing appeared normal yeah i know famous last words when none will play back, not had 1 yet though. I would try the ones you have written so far in ya 360 as writing seemed ok to me.

Thanks for advice, My xbox360 is in the post at the moment, i sent it off to get flashed as it is the 0078k Hitachi drive and i didnt fancy flashing it myself, Therrefore no way to check my dvd's just yet. Funny thing is, the one iso that did verify with imageburn i checked with DvdInfo and it came up as a xbox360 dvd etc etc just after i burnt it... Now i put this dvd back into my drive there and it says no media present!!! I am taking this as a good sign:) will check when i get xbox360 back and post, My only problem now is i have wted 5 dvd's
mccartfm Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 Just to let you know that all my discs worked great in my Xbox 360 even though none of them would verify. Thank you for all your help again.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Very odd! Glad they work though, it would be an expensive lesson if they didn't. Still, I'd have to say your burner is a little poorly and you should probably think about replacing it at some point.
