Johnwck
I downloaded ImgBurn 2.1.0.0 and was trying to browse to a file (to burn) that was already rendered to .mpeg via Vegas Video. I get a message something to the effect that this file doesn't exist or is not supported. When I click the dropdown for file types, I see that .mpeg, .avi, .wmv files are not in the choices. I'm not lightning swift here so I would like to have some advice pleease and thank you.
LIGHTNING UK!
ImgBurn isn't an encoding / transcoding program. You either feed it disc images (ISO files etc) in 'Write' mode or you burn the file(s) 'as-is' using 'Build' mode.

It will play in the computer but not in my DVD player or TV w/built in DVD player. I am trying for the DVD-R format since this is what my players recognize. Am I trying to mix apples with oranges here or is there something I'm overlooking that would allow me to burn a disc that would play in my players? If not would you recommend a good simple software that would do this? I don't need a video editing suite, just something that would accept already rendered .avi, mpg, wmv, etc and burn them as -R. Thanks again!
LIGHTNING UK!
What you really mean is that you need a tool to convert your files into a DVD Video disc - this is the bit I was saying ImgBurn doesn't do - hence why it's not working for you. Nero has tools to convert things, Nero Recode, Nero Vision etc.
