ata problem

hi everyone im new to this forum adn the burning job~ i have an iso file and i have imgburn but once i try to burn it gives me a failed to lock for exclusisve acesss message. i also did it a couple of tiems before but once i finished burning it..i can't play the cd form anywher~ can anyone help me pleasE??

This usually means theres another program running that has access to that drive as well. Do you have incd or anything else installed? Noticed as well, your Princo discs are pretty crappy. Its best to use Verbatim DVD-R for SL burns.

um..i have no other programs..i have nti but it worked before. do you know how to fix after i finishing burnign i can't play the disc too?

is it possible that you do not have administrative rights to this computer and theres more than 1 user for it .Failed to lock volume for exclusive access you should still be able to burn a disc it would just be a warning

It tells you how to find out what's causing the exclusive use lock to fail.

hey you guys..THANKS SO MUCH!! i have another problem....after ive burned my disk..its won't play on ANY dvd player..it won't even play on intervideo windvd. i checked the file i wanted to burn and it worked fine..can you guys help me again PLEASe?

for starters this media is crap,use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs all others are a waste of time

 

have you been messing with the file system in build mode options make it iso 9660 + UDF go to tools settings defaults ,IB works just fine in default mode

I would also let ImgBurn verify the burns you are doing - especially with those discs. That should tell you straight away whether the discs are any good or not. When ImgBurn is burning just tick the Verify box and it will do it's stuff for you. Then you can post the complete log here.

 

I would still bet on the media causing your problems.
